A hard fought season translated into postseason honors for a pair of Iowa Western Women's Basketball players. Jazza 'J.J.' Johns and Naomie Alnatas were named to NJCAA's All-American Teams on Wednesday.
The Reivers finished 25-5 and won the ICCAC's Regular Season Championship.
Johns, a 6'0" Sophomore from McHenry, Illinois was named to the 2nd team. J.J. started all 30 games this season for the Reivers. A force in the paint, she averaged 11.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per contests. During her 2 seasons in Council Bluffs, J.J. started 60 of 63 contests, averaging 10 points per game. She was also a 2-time All-ICCAC selection during her career at Iowa Western, earning 1st team this season.
Alnatas, a 5'6" Freshman from Mulhouse, France earned Honorable Mention honors after averaging 12.8 points per game during her opening campaign with the Reivers. Naomie played in 26 games, starting 20, pouring in double figures in 17 of those contests. Named All-Region 1st team for her efforts, she shot an astounding 92.6% from the charity stripe and knocked in over 40% of her 3-point attempts over the course of the season.

The latest selections give the Reivers 5 All-Americans under Head Coach Lindsey Vande Hoef. In her 3 seasons at the helm, the Reivers have gone 74-19, winning 3 regular season conference titles and advancing to the NJCAA National Tournament in 2016-17.
