Reiver Football's O'Hara breaks season & career records for tackles!

Sophomore Linebacker Willie O'Hara's name is etched into the record book after an outstanding Sophomore season. 

The 6'2" 238lb'er out of Dowling Catholic High in Des Moines, IA served a back-up role for the Reivers in 2017, but worked his way in to a starting role for the team in 2018. 

O'Hara averaged 13 tackles a game for the 10-1 Reivers, including 21 against Garden City, the most ever for an Iowa Western defender in a single game. 

O'Hara snapped the single season record on October 27th vs Ft. Scott when he recorded his 103rd tackle of the season. 

Against 9th ranked Snow in the Champions Game of the Graphic Edge Bowl, O'Hara recorded 16 tackles to finish with 143 for his career, snapping the previous record of 137 set by MLB Sam Maresh in 2010-11.

In addition to his 143 tackles, O'Hara also recorded 4 QB Sacks, 3 interceptions & forced a fumble.  He finished his career at IWCC with 21 wins and only 2 losses and expects to commit to continue his football and academic career in the next few weeks.

Iowa Western finished the season with a 19-17 win over Snow College and a 10-1 record.  They were ranked 3rd in the final NJCAA poll of the season.
