Reiver Runners Receive Honors at Region Championships

Several members of Iowa Western's cross country teams received recognition at the conclusion of the regional championships on Saturday. Isaiah Samoei finished the race as the region champion and was named by the coaches as male athlete of the year. Joining Samoei as members of the league first team were Nick Reynolds and Nathan Carr. Kyle Blue received 2nd team honors by placing 10th, while Justin Hazard and Bryant Rader were cited with honorable mentions.

The women's team likewise earned many honors. Kaylee Fly and Gladys Downing were the top honorees of the team placing themselves on the all region 2nd team. The remainder of the women's top seven, Melissa Groce, Sarah Jepleting, Dana Miller, Madison Brummer, and Brittany Davis received honorable mention for their efforts.
