Lastest Road Trip has Highs and Lows

The Reivers third road trip of the season has begun with highs and lows.  The Reivers were excited to learn that they had moved up in the national rankings to the #2 position in the lastest poll on Wednesday, September 15th.

However, that evening the Reivers lost their first match of the season against perennial power Western Nebraska.  WNCC came into the match as the #7 ranked team.  The Reivers got off to a slow start in the match and never really got traction.  Coach Darrin McBroom said that this match was a good test for the Reivers and he hoped they would be able to learn from it.  "We needed this match to expose our weaknesses.  Sometimes that is good for a team in order to keep them from becomming overconfident for too comfortable.  WNCC played a nearly flawless match, and we weren't ready to match them tonight," said McBroom.

The Reivers will continue their road trip this evening playing in Sterling, CO against the #11 ranked team, Northeastern Junior College.
