Reivers go 9-1 on Florida Road Trip
The No. 16 ranked Reivers travelled to sunny Florida last week to pick up 10 matches on their season. They opened up the road trip at the Florida State College Jacksonville "Tournament of Champions," and picked up wins over DII power Johnson County, Palm Beach, and Yavapi. On day two in the championship match the Reivers fell to No. 1 Miami Dade. The Reivers received second place honors and Suzy Ni Xu and Mariana Lisboa garnered All Tournament honors.
During the week between the tournaments in Jacksonville and Tampa, the Reivers played two individual matches against St. Petersburg College and Hillsborough CC. The Reivers prevailed in both matches, sweeping St. Pete and dropping just one set to Hillsborough.
On the final weekend, the Reviers took part in the Hillsborough Halloween Tournament. On Friday Iowa Western defeated St. Johns River CC and Clearwater Christian College. On Saturday in the Championship Pool, Iowa Western defeated Webber International and Hillsborough in straight sets.
The Reivers finished the road trip at 9-1 to run their record to 39-5.
