Samantha Kemper Signs with Iowa Western

Samantha Kemper recently signed a letter of intent to play for the Iowa Western Reivers for the 2011 season.

Sam is 5'11" middle/outside hitter.  She has had a stellar high school career making four state tournament appearences.  She is a three time recipient of All League honors, a three time All Tournament member, and three time All State honoree.  Additionally, in 2010 she was the Valley Catholic Female Athlete of the Year.

She has been playing club for 10 years and is currently playing for Athena VBC.  "I had the opportunity to see her play this spring in the Lonestar Qualifier.  Her coaches spoke very well of her and I couldn't believe that she was still uncommitted.  I think she will be a great addition to our program and I am looking forward to working with her this fall," said head coach Darrin McBroom.

Sam is from Banks, Oregon.  She is the daughter of Warren and Rebecca Kemper and she is interested in majoring in Education.
