Blue Team Wins Game 7; Wings and Celery Champions
In the 7th and final game of the 10th annual "Wings and Celery" Series, the Blue Team completed their series comeback, winning by a score of 5-1, and securing their spot at the winners table at Buffalo Wild Wings.
In his fourth appearance of the series, Aj Gaura pitched a gem. He allowed just 1 run through 6 1/3 innings an earning the series clinching win.
Zach Larrison came on for the fourth time in the series and recorded the final two outs.
Like most of the series, the Blue Team fell behind early when Alex Greer singled home Adam Morey in the bottom of the first.
The Blue team once again showed their resiliency, responding with two runs in the 4th and three runs in the 5th to give them a 5-1. That would be all Gaura needed.
As the final out was recorded, The Blue team's thoughts immediately turned to which wings they were going to order, while the Black team prepared for the dreaded bland taste of celery and water.
