Reivers Come out Firing in dual of Unbeatens

 The Iowa Western Women’s Basketball team came out firing on all cylinders in the first half against De Moines Area Community College Tuesday night, who also going into the contest was 7-0. The Reivers were 6 of 11 from down town and 12 of 24 in the first half. Solid second half play lead to a 74-64 win.

Lakota Goe had a solid all around game going 5 for 8 from the 3 point range finishing with 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Bobbi Beckwith also controlled the floor game shooting 3 for 6 from the field for 10 points while dishing out 5 assists and 3 steals. Amber McCann was also in double figures with 10 points despite foul trouble and eventually fouling out of the game.

Coach Turgeon felt the Reivers “played their best game of the season.” The Reivers are now 8-0 heading into Thanksgiving. Up next is Cloud County Thanksgiving Classic in Concordia, KS. Iowa Western will take on Butler C.C. Saturday at 4:00pm and Cloud County C.C. Sunday at 4:00pm.
