Game 1: Reivers win with a score of 10-0 over Marshalltown. Offensively the Reivers had 10 hits in the game, capped off by Isaiah Peterson's 3, including a double and triple. On the mound, Braedyn McLaughlin picked up his 7th win. He went 5 innings allowing 1 hit, 3 BBs, and struck out 12.
Game 2: Iowa Western fell to Marshalltown with a score of 6-4. Caleb Balgaard knocked in 2 run and Cooper Bowman scored 3 times for the Reiver offence. Trystan Kimmel picked up his 1st loss of the season in relief. Jordan Bonk started the game going 4 and 2/3 giving up 2 runs on 2 hits, 4 walks and struck out 8.
Game 3: Continued from earlier this season the Reivers dropped the game to the Tigers 6-4. Ronald Sweeny and Jaden Rolffs both had 2 RBI's for the offence. Jayden Kruse took his 3rd loss of the season going 6 innings, striking out 10 and giving up 2 earned.
Game 4: The Reivers struck back winning with a score of 17-2. Offensively, Cooper Bowman, Jaden Rolffs, Ronald Sweeny III, and Isaiah Peterson all homered in the game, with Caleb Balgaard, Jaden Rolffs, Isaiah Peterson, and Gibson Krzeminski all picking up 3 hits. Jared Simpson collected his 6th win of the season, going 7 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, 1 walk, and tallying 13 striking outs.
Game 5: The Reivers took the series with a 10-5 win in the final game. Caleb Balgaard led the way with 4 hits, including 3 doubles and 3 RBI's. Ronald Sweeny also knocked in 4 runs himself. On the mound, Derek Shoen picked up his first win out of the bullpen. Shoen went 3 and 1/3 allowing 4 runs and 2 walks, while striking out 4.
The Reivers will be back at it this weekend to play at Indian Hills, the first game starting at 1:00 on Saturday.
