Coach Tyler Herbst begins his 5th season with the Reivers and 18th in college baseball. In four seasons as an assistant at Iowa Western the Reivers have accomplished the following:

Coach Herbst serves in numerous roles within the baseball program. Working with the team’s hitters, outfielders & infielders, Recruiting Coordinator, and Academic Coordinator. Offensively the Reivers have been a stable at the top of national rankings in numerous offensive categories.

2015: .356 Team Ave, (9th National Ranked)

2016: .378 Team Ave, (6th National Ranked)

2017: .335 Team Ave, (18th National Ranked) (260 BB, 102 HBP, 242K, +120) 2018: .357 Team Ave, (7th National Ranked) (303 BB, 102 HBP, 265K, +120)

Prior to Iowa Western Coach Herbst served as Recruiting Coordinator/Pitching Coach at Indiana State University. In five seasons the Sycamores saw the programs longest string of consecutive winning seasons in 15 years. During his time on the bench at ISU, the program reached new heights.

Prior to ISU Herbst has previously worked on baseball staffs at Arkansas-Little Rock, Evansville, Northern Illinois, Wabash Valley, Lincoln Memorial University, Wausau Woodchucks (Northwood’s Collegiate Summer League) & Athletes in Action (Alaska Collegiate Baseball League). In eight seasons at his previous stops Coach Herbst has achieved, accomplished, and coached many great individuals.
