Dax Leone enters his first season with the Reivers after spending the last 3 seasons with Seminole State College in Oklahoma. With him he brings over 18 years of experience including sending 25 former players to the MLB with players like Evan Gattis, Jeremy Hefner, Duke Welker, Tyler Lyons, and Andrew Heaney making it to the show. Leone's duties will including assisting with the pitchers, hitters, and recruiting while coaching 1st and 3rd base on game days.

 • 2017 Region 2 Coach of the Year, eleven sophomores signed with Division 1 & 2 universities in spring of 2017

 • Coached six players drafted in the major league draft in 2016 & 2017 seasons

 • Team GPA of 2.92 in the fall of 2017, signed top ten NJCAA recruiting class in 2016 & 2017

 • Top five in every NJCAA major offensive category in spring of 2017

 • Coached the Region 2 Player of Year and Defensive Player of the Year for 2017 - 7 All-Conference players

 • Lead Region 2 in strikeouts and batting average against for 2016 & 2017

 • Two NJCAA national players of the week in 2017 - NJCAA national leader in doubles

 • 143-101 record as Head Coach at UCO

 • Graduated 95% of players within 5 year Head Coaching tenure at UCO

 • Completed 2014 season with school record of 8 MIAA All Conference Players – including Player & Pitcher of the Year

 • Instructed 2014 Southcentral Regional Player of the Year & three All Region Players

 • Accomplished three 30+ winning seasons – 37 wins in 2014, most since 2007

 • Lead NCAA Division II stats in Home Runs, Batting Avg, Slugging %, Hit-by-Pitch, Runs per Game in 2014 & 2013

 • Coached three All Americans – one in 2014, two in 2012; along with four All Region Players 2012-2014

 • Developed NCAA Division II Homerun Leader (19) in 2012 & 2013 National Record for Hit-by-Pitches (47)

 • Doubled winning percentage in 2011from previous season

 • Started UCO’s 1st baseball contract with TPX/Lousiville Slugger for equipment in 2011

 • 2008 Sunbelt Conference Champs 20-10 record (34-24 season record)

 • Won 30 games in 2007, Qualified for the conference tournament – 1st time in 5 years

 • Recruited 2007 Class – Ranked Top 10 by Collegiate Baseball with 5 drafted players

 • Managed 2006 pitchers – lead NJCAA with 461 strikeouts in 432 innings, allowing only 348 hits, staff ERA of 3.89 with Conference ERA of 2.73 & opponents’ batting average of .235

 • Oversaw pitching in 2006 resulting in eight draft-and-follows – three eventually signed professional

 • 2004 Lone Star North Division Champs – First Championship since 1973 • Produced 2004 pitcher of the year with 1.76 ERA, lowest in conference history

 • Recruited 8 all-conference players, including the player and pitcher of the year in 2004
