The Reivers made the trip to KU to compete in the Jayhawk Classic. The men men Multis lead by sophomore Marcus Klein and Freshman Jonathan Whitcomb and Evan Porter have a great first day. Marcus has the fastest time in the 60m with a time of 7.05 with Evan running the second fastest time in 7.10. After the first event the Reivers were in 1st and 2nd place. The next events go just the way the Reivers wanted winning the long (Marcus 6.79m) setting a PR Evan (5.89) Staying consistent thought the day The Reivers are in the lead at the last event of the day the High Jump. New comer to the Multi Evan Porterhas a PR in the high jump with 1.64m. Jonh Whitcomb has a solid make taking 3rd with 1.83m Marcus also jumped 1.83 which is a PR. After day 1 Marcus has a 400 point lead. Day 2 Starts with the women's multi 60m hurdles sophomore Zarin Goodrich is the lone female multi for the Reivers has a solid performance for being a new comer to the Mulit with a score of 2161 which is good for top 5 on the NJCAA leader board. The men started up right after the women, also with the 60m hurdles Evan Porter post a time of 9.10. Marcus post the fastest time of the day and a PR at 8.38. After much dissucinon from the officials he was disqualified however if he was still allow to compete, the DQ come with much controversay due to improper lane placement. The pole vault was the strong suit for freshman John Whitcomb with a jump of 3.94m best jump of all the Reivers. With all the emotions from the day the Reiver trio finished the day off strong in the 1000m posting the top 3 fastest time. John Whitcomb had the most consistent day and it paid off with a score of 3884 placing him top 3 in the Nation Evan posted a score 3646 which puts him in the top 10. Despite the DQ Marcus was still able to post a score of 3771 which aslo has him in the top 10. After the first Hept and Pent of the year the Reviers performed very well and are looking to improved scores later in the season.
