Reivers Volleyball Adds Puerto Rican Middle to 2020 Roster
Council Bluffs, Iowa
Dayan Malave Marrero, a 5'11 middle hitter from Manati, Puerto Rico, will be joining the Reivers Volleyball team for the coming season. The high school senior at Christian Military Academy began developing her skills with Club Piratas before joining Club Vaqueros, one of the best clubs on the island. With Vaqueros, she was exposed to great training and fierce competition and helped the team win four national tournaments while also competing at the AAU's in Orlando. Dayan has earned MVP honors and All-Star recognition, both at the club and high school levels.
In the form of a true Reiver, Dayan is not only a stand out on the volleyball court, but also in the classroom where she's been part of the Honor Roll every year. Dayan is the daughter of Yaritza Marrero and David Malave, and the oldest of five children (Yaimarie, David, Yael and Dariel). She plans to major in Finance at Iowa Western.
The Reivers coaching staff is excited to add Dayan to the Reivers family!
