Reivers Add Strength & Conditioning Coach to Talented Roster
Council Bluffs, IA
Iowa Western Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Aaron Schultz as it bolsters its Strength & Conditioning program on campus.
Schultz comes to Council Bluffs after working the past season for Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana.
Head Wrestling Coach Josh Watts was the initial push behind the effort to add a coach focused on the strength and conditioning aspect for Reiver Student-Athletes, "I'm very excited about the addition of the strength and conditioning position. Aaron brings a ton of knowledge and energy and I believe he will help our athletes develop and reduce injuries."
In addition to his work for LA Tech, Schultz also brings experience from Eastern Washington University, Iowa State University, Webber International University, Regina (IA) High School, and his alma mater, Grand View University.
"I'm very excited to be a Reiver", Schultz said, "I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the development of these student-athletes and to grow the strength and conditioning department here for Iowa Western."
Schultz, a native of Williamsburg, Iowa, earned his degree in Kinesiology and his Master's in Sport Management from Grand View University in Des Moines where he also played wide receiver for the Vikings.
