Reivers Golf Announces Assistant Coach
Council Bluffs, Iowa - Iowa Western Head Golf Coach Matt Robinson has tabbed Derrick Ceder to be the Assistant Coach for the Reivers Golf program. Ceder comes to Council Bluffs after six years as the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan where the Prairie Wolves qualified for three consecutive NCAA Championships and won the last three American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championships. Additionally, Ceder was named the Conference's Coach of The Year three times in his NWU career.
Individually, Ceder coached PING Division III All-American Alex Kubik in 2021, who also garnered All-District accolades in 2019 and 2021. Kubik joined Matt Unruh as student-athletes to be named Conference Player of the Year in Ceder's tenure. Additionally, ten Prairie Wolves earned All-Conference honors during his time at the helm of the program.
Ceder will oversee the Reivers men's golf program while also being in charge of the Reivers Golf Scholarship fundraiser.
Derrick is a native of Monroe, NE, and resides in Omaha, NE with his wife Kellie and his two children, Broderick and Brooks.
