Reiver cheer enhances student-athlete experience with UCA camp addition for the 2025-26 season.

Selected veteran members of the Iowa Western Cheerleading team, along with 8 selected incoming freshmen, represented the program this past weekend at the first-ever Universal Cheerleading Association preseason home camp. Funding for this addition to the program experience were raised by the 2024-2025 cheer team throughout last year's season. Coach Raven stated, "Each year I choose one thing I believe the incoming class can fundraise for to help improve and enhance our program. Investing back into the program each year has been a crucial factor in our ability to grow our program and remain competitive in the cheerleading world." 

 

The 25 selected members spent both Saturday and Sunday learning material that will be utilized on our sideline throughout this season, along with quality stunting and pyramid instruction from our UCA staff members. Time was also spent developing leadership skills amongst the veteran class that will help to build team cohesion and motivate the incoming members. The team and coaching staff are looking forward to the remaining student-athletes moving onto campus in a couple days and utilizing the foundation we built this past weekend to have a successful season.
