Reivers Cheer on the Supernovas!

The city of Omaha is buzzing with excitement as it welcomes back its newest sports organization, the Omaha Supernovas HypeSquad. Founded in 2025, the Supernovas bring together elite athletes from across the Midwest to showcase a dynamic mix of athleticism, artistry, and community spirit.

The Supernovas were created to raise the profile of competitive cheer in Nebraska, to blend the precision of competitive cheer with the showmanship of professional sports entertainment.  Their routines highlight powerful stunts, synchronized tumbling, and original choreography set to high-energy music.

We asked a few members of the HypeSquad, and Iowa Western Alumni, what they loved about being a part of the team, as well as what they look forward to for the upcoming year.

Carlos Acosta – " I loved the Atmosphere of the games, and interacting with the fans, I am definitely excited for the T-shirt tosses!"

Hunter Will – " This is my first season with the Novas. I am Excited to experience a different side of game day cheerleading

Abby Mefford – " I loved interacting with fans, and getting to be a part of creating history in Nebraska Professional Cheerleading. I am super excited to get even more involved in our community."
