Sam Wells Earn's a Top 5 Finish
Sam Wells had 3 great rounds at the Bethany University Invite this past Monday and Tuesday. Bethany hosted at Sand Creek Station in Newton Kansas, this course will be used for the 2026 NJCAA National Championship in a few weeks.
Sam had rounds of 73, 71, 72 to shoot even par over the three days to finish 4th overall. His scores help the team finish in 2nd place overall. The rest of the team showed signs of good play throughout the 3 rounds. Llyod Huges fired scores of 73 in round 1 and 70 in round 2. Ty Potter shot rounds of 74 in the final round and Emmanual Jensen shot a third round of 74
"It was great to see Sam play well," said Head Coach Matt Robinson. "Sam went through some mental challenges in the fall. Sam is a great competitor and can play great golf, it was good to see him overcome these challenges. Our team showed signs of what they can do, and it should gain some confidence as Districts and The National Championship are in front of us."
The men will be back in Action Monday and Tuesday (April 13 & 14) playing in the Hill at The Moon hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln, NE
