Men's Soccer Opens 2024 as Preseason #14
CHARLOTTE - The NJCAA has released the 2024 Men's Soccer Preseason Poll and Iowa Western comes in ranked 14th to begin the new campaign.
The Reivers finished this past year ranked No. 12 with a 6-4-4 record, finishing as the Midwest District runner-up. After missing the national tournament in 2023, Head Coach Mike Brown returns 13 players from last season's squad and looks to get the team back to the NJCAA National Tournament following a run of four straight appearances that included a runner-up finish in the Spring of 2021 and the program's 2nd national championship the following Fall.
Coach Brown enters his 6th season at the program's helm and owns a record of 75-10-9 during his time at IWCC and he is 123-19-14 in his head coaching career.
Iowa Western opens up the 2024 season on Friday, August 23rd vs Lincoln Trail at the Gail Wickersham Athletic Complex in Council Bluffs due to the construction of the new John and Harriet Wiebe Soccer and Football Complex on campus, slated to be finished in September.
