Bio
DeMarcus Stid moves into his fourth year as Iowa Western Throws Coach for the 2025-26 season.
During his time with the Reivers, Stid has coached 70+ NJCAA National Qualifiers with 60 earning All-American Status. 14 school records have fallen since Stid came to Iowa Western. Jazmyn James became Coach Stid's first national champion in women's outdoor shot put. James threw an IWCC record 15.15m en route to the 2023 outdoor title. In addition to that, the national runner-up in the 2024 women's hammer, Natalie Albert, with a throw of 51.06, marked a huge PR of upwards of 15m. The national runner-up in the shot put for the 2025 indoor and outdoor seasons, Sarai Simpson, with PR's 15.01m and a school record of 15.30m.
Before Iowa Western, Coach Stid spent the 2021-22 season at McPherson College, where he helped to bring seven athletes to the national stage, three of whom qualified in the throws with a strong year of setting new school records.

Prior to McPherson, Coach Stid spent two years at Frostburg State University, where he had regional qualifiers in the hammer and discus and coached MEC conference champions in the weight throw, hammer, and discus throw.
Coach Stid is a graduate of Indiana Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Fitness & Recreation.
