Reivers Continue Winning Streak at Iowa Lakes
Estherville, IA - The Iowa Western men's basketball team traveled to Estherville, Iowa, on Wednesday night for the final matchup of the fall semester. In the first half of play, the Reivers struggled on the offensive end. Iowa Western would go 1 for 9 from the 3-point line in the first half and also missed several attempts around the basket. The Reivers were only 32% from the floor in the first half, while Iowa Lakes shot 42%. Iowa Western trailed by 6 points at halftime with a score of 31-25 in favor of Iowa Lakes.
In the second half, the Reivers would trail by as much as 10 points as Iowa Lakes connected on back-to-back 3-pointers to extend their lead in the early going of the half. Iowa Western would rally and cut the deficit quickly. The Reivers came back and took the lead for good with under 10 minutes in the contest. Judah Vignery would ice the game away at the free-throw line in the final minutes of play.
Judah Vignery led all scorers with 27 points on 8 of 15 from the floor and 9 of 10 from the charity stripe. Zayden Best also reached double figures with 14 points on 9 of 11 from the free-throw line.
Iowa Western remains undefeated at 14-0 overall and 5-0 in the ICCAC. The Reivers will enjoy a week off and will return to action next in 2026 with a January 3rd matchup at Iowa Central. Iowa Western was ranked #12 in the latest NJCAA poll.
